Following the Tubbs Fire, this project involved a completely new landscape, front and back. As the building footprint was shifted, a creative approach to the driveway was needed, as the garage doors now lined up with a fire hydrant. Pavers and step lights add detail to the walkway to the steps leading to the front door, while large scale plantings fill the expansive sloping front yard.
The backyard offers tremendous views of Taylor Mountain during the day, and the city lights of Santa Rosa at night.

A pergola was built around a stone bench and fire pit, and interlocking pavers were used for both patio and walkways around the property. A composite deck allows for easy access in an out of a spa, as well as room for seating. The planting was selected to help provide privacy from the homes above, but allow for views below. Flagstone slab steps lead to a vegetable garden and view terrace, while a pondless water feature adds sound and motion to the landscape, enjoyed both outdoors as well as inside.
