“Austin and his crew were fantastic! Originally, we hired Austin to provide an architectural redesign for both our front and backyard. He worked with us to understand our vision, and turned it into so much more. We wanted a drought and fire resistant landscape, which also included a natural, peaceful garden throughout. The backyard now has a large paver patio, which includes BBQ, dining, lounge, and seating areas with fire pit. It’s surrounded by colorful plants, which soothe our souls. Our front yard is mounded and also includes a variety of plants and colors. We have had multiple people knock on our door, asking who we used for the project.
Austin and his crew were a delight to work with from beginning to end. They were responsible, extremely hardworking, and fun. They listened to all our input, made changes throughout the project as our vision changed, and bent over backwards to ensure our needs were met. We give them a 5 star rating and then some. First rate all the way!” – Lori K.
“This was our second time working with Austin and his crew on a landscape design project. From our first meeting throughout the duration of our project, Austin made thoughtful, creative and sensible choices for our entire outdoor space, taking into consideration California drought conditions, the health of our existing trees, as well as our preferences and input all along the way. It felt like a truly collaborative effort, resulting in a total transformation of an unsightly yard into a beautiful and serene property.
Austin’s experienced team of meticulous and diligent landscapers/hardscapers were a pleasure to have working on our property.
Austin’s artistry and attention to every detail resulted in a lovely outdoor space that is everything we had hoped for, but so much more beautifully executed than we could have dreamed of ourselves, from the lighting of our existing oak trees and water feature to the placement of plants and boulders to the creative use of pavers for walkways and patio. We are thrilled and I recommend Austin enthusiastically!” – Kathy N.
“After deciding to get rid of our large backyard lawn, we hired Austin Parnow to plan and create an attractive, relaxing new outdoor space that would require low water and maintenance. Since we know very little about plants or design, we relied on Austin to make all the specific design and plant suggestions, and we were thrilled with the plan he delivered. Even more exciting was watching the building of the project over the course of several months by his skillful, hardworking crew. The finished result exceeded our expectations.
Austin is a creative designer with high standards and a meticulous eye for detail. We appreciated how closely he stuck to his detailed project budget and how careful he was to explain all charges to us. He listened attentively to our comments and questions and responded quickly to our emails and texts. We feel fortunate to have had the chance to work with Austin and can recommend him enthusiastically.” – Susan M.
“I bought an older home with dated landscaping. Austin’s design transformed a back yard with dirt, weeds, gravel and concrete under gnarled fruit trees into a beautiful, usable area with shady patios, lush plantings, and garden boxes. Austin’s front yard design replaced white gravel and a wall of unkempt juniper bushes with an inviting path to the front door through a variety of blooming shrubs and succulents. At my request, Austin made sure the designs were low maintenance, drought-resistant, and featured plants that bloomed at different times throughout the year. Austin’s designs doubled the usable space on my property, adding so much value. I now spend more time outside than inside!” – Diane D.
“We confidently recommend Austin Parnow as a talented landscape builder/designer. He transformed our large, gently sloping backyard full of mismatched brick, unsightly lava rock, and crumbling deck and trellis, into an award winning backyard (first place CA Landscape Contractors Assoc. No. Coast, design/build large residential installation). Our yard is now a beautiful, functional, terraced yard, two seating areas, pond with cascading water feature, and BBQ area. The project consisted of site grading, relocating large boulders, rock wall, steps installed with recessed lighting, natural bluestone pavers, underground irrigation, and per his suggestion, an innovative material for retaining walls capped with bluestone for additional seating. The stunning design is enhanced with thoughtful plant selections. We were so pleased with his work on our backyard that we had him design our front yard also.” – Nancy H.
“You have been a bright light amongst a task that has wiped away all design enthusiasm and desire to continue. When we feel like just giving up, you deliver a moment of celebration. Thanks for the light!” – Sandy S.
“We are moving over to Reno this weekend and there’s never been a harder property to leave thanks to you. We have enjoyed all your design and subsequent work to create the most beautiful property we’ve ever owned! Right now everything is so beautiful. We want to thank you for going above and beyond to create this space for us we wish we could use you for our next property!” – Deeanna E.
“Austin created a great design and we really appreciated his support and guidance throughout the project.” – Greg P.
“(Austin) was very low key and listened to all my requests as well as suggested ways to help keep the costs down. I have always been a gardener and had a hard time trusting someone else’s aesthetics. I love what Austin choose with probably too much input from me.” – Christina T.
“I found Austin to be highly skilled in his profession. He has a wide range of knowledge and a sound creative sense. Nevertheless, he encouraged me to verbalize my desires, my vision of the final product. We worked together. (I suspect I was more participatory than most.) On several occasions Austin patiently led me through hands-on examination of the materials: stones, boulders, plants so I could choose what I liked and what I could afford.” – Marisha Z.
